About The Hills Premium Services
A house held in an open hand, under two hills.
That is the picture on our logo, and it is also the whole job. Someone lives in a home they know. Someone else holds that home steady with open hands, so the person can keep living there. The hills behind are the Scottsdale foothills we work beneath.
The team is led by Sarha, and the office sits on E Greenway Pkwy. Caregivers and companions visit older adults in their own homes for personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders and company.
The house is the person's. The hands are ours. The hills are the ordinary days in between.
How the team works
Care is planned around the person and their routine, not around a menu. We start by listening to how the day goes now.
First
We talk with the person and the family about what is easy, what has become hard, and what everyone worries about at night. A care plan comes out of that conversation and not the other way round.
Then
A caregiver comes to the home. Washing up and dressing happen in the person's own bathroom. Meals are cooked in their own kitchen, to their tastes. A reminder arrives at the time of day the doctor set for the medicine, and the afternoon has someone to talk to in it.
Always
Whatever a person can still do for themselves, they keep doing. The caregiver steadies, hands over the next thing and steps in only where help is needed. If something seems off, the family hears about it.
One ordinary day
We think of care as one ordinary day, kept at home.
Morning is washing up and getting dressed. Noon is a meal at the kitchen table. The afternoon holds the reminder that keeps the schedule. The evening is company, a card game, a cup of tea and someone to say good night to. Each part has its own page, and each is arranged to fit the person who lives there.
